We started as a modest real estate investment firm focused on purchasing and renovating single-family homes. Through strategic investments, we expanded into larger properties, including multi-unit residences and commercial buildings. This growth led us to establish our investment platform.
As we tackled increasingly complex renovation projects, we recognized the need for higher standards in the contractor space. We built our own construction division, handling everything from full-scale residential renovations to historic construction to commercial work, ensuring the same high quality and integrity across all projects.
But through it all, our core purpose has remained the same: redevelopment. We find opportunities to revitalize homes and neighborhoods, working with local stakeholders to breathe new life into communities, one project at a time.

Eric Berman
President Eric S. Berman is a licensed Residential Builder, real estate investor, and Marine Corps veteran leading Berman Property Group, LLC, in Beaufort, SC. Since founding the company in 2018, he has grown a $13 million portfolio of 40 rental units, completed over 70 residential and commercial projects, and earned the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce’s Cornerstone Business Award plus 2025 Gold in Lowcountry's Best for Best Remodeler/Contractor. A former Marine officer with eight years of leadership experience, Eric planned high-stakes operations, including hurricane evacuations for thousands. He serves as Vice Chairman of the City of Beaufort Historic District Review Board, holds a B.S. in Physics from The Citadel, and is a dedicated husband and father of two. |

Austin Hartman
Vice President Austin Hartman is a Marine Officer veteran and construction leader with expertise in high-precision project management from Lockheed Martin Space, where he oversaw metal manufacturing for NASA's Orion spacecraft. Raised in western Kansas through hands-on work in his father’s small construction business, he later built a campervan from scratch and traveled 44 states and Canada before settling in Beaufort in 2023. Partnering with Eric Berman, Austin now drives Berman Property Group’s operations, leading quality project management on value-add renovations, custom remodels, and strategic construction projects while pursuing thoughtful, high-return investment opportunities that strengthen properties and communities. With nearly 40 projects completed in recent years, he delivers meticulous execution, on-time/on-budget results, and exceptional client satisfaction. |

Nichole Nelson
Accounting Originally from Northeast Iowa, Nichole earned her degree in Accounting and Finance from Upper Iowa University while competing on the collegiate golf team. After relocating to South Carolina in 2013, she launched a bookkeeping firm that now supports over 40 clients nationwide across diverse industries. Nichole brings precision and professionalism to her role at Berman Property Group, where she specializes in real estate investment and construction accounting. Her personable approach and attention to detail help streamline complex financial workflows and support confident decision-making. Nichole enjoys boating, golf, art, and spending time outdoors with friends and family. |

Stephanie Pretto
Office Manager Stephanie joined Berman Property Group in 2023, after working in veterinary practices for over 10 years. Her husband’s military career brought her from Miami to Beaufort, where she embraced the Lowcountry as home. As office manager, she keeps operations running smoothly—overseeing marketing, permitting, scheduling, vendor coordination, and due diligence. Known for her adaptability and proactive mindset, Stephanie brings clarity and order to complex workflows. Outside of work, she enjoys crafting, cooking, and spending time with her son and two dogs. |
